The college opened in 2018 and is a structural unit of Yessenov University.

The college’s mission is to train highly qualified, competent, responsible specialists who are competitive in the labor market, fluent in their profession, able to navigate related fields of activity, capable of continuous professional growth, social and professional mobility.

The college helps to solve one of the most important socio-economic tasks facing the country — providing highly qualified and highly paid mid-level staff that helps the economy of Kazakhstan grow.

The meaning and functions of Yessenov college

  1. The College is a structural unit of Yessenov University and was created with the aim of training qualified mid-level specialists who are able to work effectively in modern conditions and adapt to the requirements of the labor market.
  2. It provides students with the opportunity to receive high-quality secondary vocational education with an emphasis on practical skills in demand in industry, energy, IT and service industries.
  3. The attachment to the university allows the use of modern educational and laboratory facilities, faculty resources and university infrastructure, which increases the level of practical training.
  4. The college serves as a link between the school and higher education, creating an opportunity for graduates to continue their undergraduate studies at Yessenov University without losing academic continuity.
  5. Large industrial and oil and gas enterprises are concentrated in the Mangystau region, where the university is located (Aktau). Therefore, the college plays a strategic role in providing the region with qualified personnel.
